UT Southwestern — Web Migration & AI-Ready CMS
The challenge
UT Southwestern came to us needing to modernize a large enterprise web footprint serving a 300+ strong content-author community across clinical departments, research centers, and administrative units. The existing setup was aging, difficult to maintain, and had real accessibility and performance gaps. They needed a migration strategy that didn’t grind content teams to a halt.
Our approach
We ran the migration in tightly-scoped phases, with content-author enablement as a first-class concern (not an afterthought). Every phase shipped with a clear rollback plan. We layered the Content Optimizer on top of the migration so UTSW’s 300 content authors get automated QA on every publish — catching WCAG issues, broken links, missing metadata, and style-guide violations before content goes live.
We also worked closely with UTSW leadership on a separate AI Readiness & Opportunity Assessment — scoping where AI can add real value across their content operations, and setting honest expectations about what the technology can and can’t do right now.
