PrivateMatch required an entirely new visual identity to get off the ground, starting with a color palette that evolved into a sophisticated logo and brand patterns, laying the foundation for the platform’s UI. The logo ideation process was incredibly collaborative, involving multiple design team members who developed and refined a range of concepts. We prioritized the core concept by presenting initial designs to client stakeholders in black and white. We eventually narrowed them down to two finalists fleshed out with color, various lockups, and other brand expressions. The result was a visual identity that conveyed exclusivity and trust—essential qualities for PrivateMatch’s target audience.

Building a dating app for diverse relationship types presents unique user experiences and technical challenges. From designing a tailored matchmaking system to ensuring security and scalability, each aspect demanded strategic and technical precision.

We began by developing a powerful matchmaking algorithm to evaluate users' traits and preferences. This system accommodated unique relationship dynamics, such as users with high net worth and users with high amounts of free time, by scoring potential matches based on detailed user inputs. This personalized approach ensured high-quality matches that resonated with users’ needs.

Another priority was seamless communication on a budget. We integrated Stream Chat for real-time interactions between matched users, delivering the reliability and functionality expected from a premium platform. To enhance user control, we added features to block or report matches directly to PrivateMatch staff, further fostering a safe and respectful environment.

Security and trust were at the forefront of development. We incorporated Stripe for secure payment processing and SumSub for government ID verification, ensuring users could browse and connect with peace of mind.

For scalability, we selected React Native to streamline development across web and mobile platforms. Symfony powered the backend, providing a secure and robust framework to manage user data, algorithms, and workflows. A custom admin portal allowed PrivateMatch staff to review, manage, and refine matches, reinforcing the platform’s exclusivity and high-touch service.
